Swords & Cubes After Launch
The official Roblox experience text for Catch a Brainrot spells out the loop: explore, deal damage with swords, throw your cube to capture, then upgrade both at the shop. Live players buy gear at the Rot Center—the same building that stocks Rot Boxes. This page maps marketing language (Swords & Cubes) to post-launch shop names.
Combat → Capture Flow
- Find a wild Brainrot on a route in Grass Zone or Ice Zone.
- Battle with your party—player sword damage and Energy abilities weaken the target.
- When HP is low, throw the correct zone tier cube / Rot Box.
- Keep the catch for your team or sell for ~5× kill Coins—see Coins & EXP.
Failed captures waste cube stock. Match box tier to zone and level before hunting Epics on the Brainrot list.
Upgrade Priorities
| Phase | Sword focus | Cube / Rot Box focus |
|---|---|---|
| First hour | Default sword is fine for low-level one-shots | Rot Box + Wooden Box sell loops near a Rot Lab |
| Grass mid-game | Upgrade when commons need two turns | Silver Box (Lv 3) → Gold Box (Lv 6) |
| Ice Zone | Bring Shield/Heal rolls; sword tier matters less than party abilities | Snowbox → Frozen Box ladder only—no Grass boxes |
| Must-catch Epic | Buff party with EXP Candy if needed | Infinity Box (380 Robux) for guaranteed capture |
Rot Center Shopping Reminder
- Teleport via map icon to the zone Rot Lab, walk to the adjacent Rot Center.
- Shop NPC on the right sells cubes; sword upgrades unlock as Player level rises—exact sword names may vary by patch.
- Coins come from capture-and-sell loops, chests, and wild battles—never skip Player XP index fills on the Player Index page.
Swords shorten fights; cubes win collections. Under-investing in either stalls both world progression and Epic hunts.
