Coins, Brainrot EXP, and Player XP
Launch Catch a Brainrot splits progression into three wallets of progress: Coins (shop currency), Brainrot EXP (creature levels), and Player XP (account level for Rot Box unlocks). Mastering all three beats blindly throwing Infinity Boxes.
Farming Brainrot EXP
- Wild battles — Defeat or catch; higher rarity/level pays more. One-shotting weak wilds often beats long fights for EXP/minute.
- NPC trainers — Key holders and gym-style NPCs drop solid EXP while advancing zone gates.
- EXP Candy — Robux machine at World Center outside the Rot Lab; +240 EXP per candy to one Brainrot.
Alive party only. Fainted Brainrots receive zero EXP—teleport to a Rot Lab and heal before grinding.
Farming Player XP
New index captures award Player XP by rarity:
| Rarity | Player XP |
|---|---|
| Common | +50 |
| Uncommon | +75 |
| Rare | +100 |
| Epic | +150 |
Capture achievements add more: after the first catch, earn stars by catching more of the same species (Common/Uncommon 5 then 10; Rare 4 then 8; Epic 3 then 6). Run new species and repeat catches in the same session for best XP/hour.
Farming Coins
- Kill wilds — Fast when you are out of boxes; scales with rarity/level.
- Capture and sell — ~5× kill value; best Coin/Brainrot when boxes are cheap.
- Chests — Map chests refresh on timers with Coins and spare Rot Boxes.
Spend Coins on zone-correct Rot Boxes and NPC challenges—not vanity—until Silver/Gold or Snowbox tiers are stocked.
Teleport & Trade Shortcuts
Open the top-right map — select a Rot Lab — Teleport. Trading: tap another player’s avatar on the map — profile — Trade — select Brainrots — confirm. Use trades to move keepers between friends without rerolling abilities blindly.
