Best Abilities to Keep

  • Grow a Garden — Drain + self-heal flips losing trades.
  • Shield — Negates a big enemy spend; pair with Bomb the next turn.
  • Heal — Stabilizes long trainer and boss fights.
  • Bomb — Premier early-to-mid burst finisher.

Starter tip: Boneca Ambalabu and Triple T Sahur (TungTungTung Sahur) open with Shield + Bomb—prefer them over Fluri Flura / Frulli Frulla unless you love the look. Details on starter guide.

Combat Tips Tied to Abilities

Build Energy with Charge before dumping Bomb or Whirlpool. Shield into expected heavy hits. Never enter a fight with fainted party members—they earn zero EXP. After battles, teleport to a Rot Lab via the map icon to heal and restock Rot Boxes.

Ability hunting is catch-and-check: sell duds for Coins, keep perfect rolls for Ice Zone and guardian content.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I reroll abilities on a Brainrot?
No. Abilities are assigned randomly when you obtain a Brainrot. Catch another copy if you need a different moveset.
Do abilities scale with level?
Yes. Damage and healing scale with Brainrot (and player) level, so the same Bomb hits harder on a leveled fighter.
What is Energy in Catch a Brainrot?
Energy is the charge resource spent on skills. Free Charge builds Energy; heavier moves cost 2–6 Energy.
Which abilities are best early?
Shield and Bomb on starters Boneca Ambalabu or Triple T Sahur cover defense and burst. Grow a Garden is an elite mid-game find.
Is Charge required every fight?
Charge is free and builds Energy for your next spends. Skipping it leaves you stuck on weak auto patterns against durable foes.
